In a thriller the Wall St Millionaires staged a dramatic comeback then held on
to win over the Yardley Oaks by a score of 4 to 2 at Yankee Stadium.

Wall St had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 3 runs on 2 hits.
Matt Kemp began the Wall St spurt when he ripped a solo home run (his 1st of
the season). Albert Pujols stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk. Nate
McLouth then cracked a two-run shot (his 2nd of the season). Carlos Beltran
was the next batter, but he struck out. Ryan Zimmerman struck out, unable to
help the rally. Yardley could do no damage in the bottom of the 9th.

Taylor Buchholz(2-0) went 2 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Joe
Nathan(0-1) was the loser in relief. Lou Piniella was very happy after the
game, 'It's great to come back and win it in your last at bats! Our guys just
wouldn't give up. And did you see the fans - one minute they're laughing and
screaming down all sorts of unprintable stuff at our guys - the next minute -
SILENCE! Yes sir, a very enjoyable win tonight!'

Right fielder Hunter Pence collected 4 RBI with one swing of the bat and Tim
Hudson carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Atlanta Prohibitioners
defeated the Boston Stranglers by the score of 10 to 2 at Fenway Park.

Pence was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day at
their team's expense. He doubled which was good for two runs in the 2nd
inning and caught a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam homerun (his 3rd of
the season) in the 3rd inning. Atlanta had 11 hits for the game and Boston
had 5.

Hudson(1-0) allowed 2 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory.
The right-handed Hudson lost his chance for a no-hitter when Jason Bartlett
singled with two outs in the 6th inning. Shaun Marcum(0-1) absorbed the
loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.

At Nationals Park, the Washington fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Tim
Redding(1-0) finally bested his Toronto opposite, Dana Eveland(0-1), by the
score of 1 to 0.

Redding had a strong outing. He surrendered only 3 hits and 4 walks in 8 and
1/3 innings. Toronto made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.

Francisco Cordero earned his 2nd save. Eveland absorbed the loss. He allowed
1 run and 8 hits in 8 innings. 'Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals'
said Cito Gaston after the game. 'We lost this game tonight because we
didn't follow the instructions every Little Leaguer hears every day.'
