Fielder provided much of the offense. He lined a one-base hit in the 5th inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 7th inning and bombed a two-run dinger (his 6th of the season) in the 9th inning. Sunshine State ended up with 13 hits for the game while Philadelphia had 7. Scott Baker(1-1) allowed 5 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Baker got help from Carlos Marmol who earned his 1st save. Jair Jurrjens(0-1) absorbed the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 8 hits and 6 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings. Fielder said, 'It was just all timing. I had pretty good rhythm at the plate tonight. You've got to take advantage of mistakes when you can. A couple pitches were definitely up a little bit - right in my zone.' Neither team managed to score in the first nine innings. Atlanta was victorious in the 10th inning. Curtis Granderson led off and he reached on an error. After an out was recorded, Hanley Ramirez came up and he drew a walk. One out later, Matt Holliday came to the plate and smacked a three-run homer (his 1st of the season) making Atlanta victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Atlanta won despite being out-hit by Colorado 8 hits to 5. The victory was credited to Brian Fuentes(2-0) who went 1/3 of an inning, allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Oliver Perez(0-1). It was a tough loss for him as he did not allow an earned run in his 9 and 1/3 innings of work. Cory Wade(1-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 4 innings. Scott Downs(0-1) was the loser in relief. He allowed 1 run and 1 hit in 2 and 2/3 innings.
