Garza(2-0) got the victory, allowing 1 run for the game. Greg Smith(0-1) was charged with the loss. This win by Minnesota continues their recent hot streak. Halladay(2-1) was simply too much for the Detroit batters. He surrendered only 1 hit and 1 walk in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 4.30 to 3.04. After the 3rd inning, neither team was able to score. Aaron Cook(1-1) was given the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings. 'I thought it was my best performance in a long time,' said Halladay. 'I had good command early in the game. I had my control and composure and everything went well.'
