The Philadelphia fans enjoyed the offense provided by Victorino. He hit a bases-empty home run (his 2nd of the season) in the 1st inning, stroked a base-hit which was good for two runs in the 2nd inning and ripped a base-knock in the 6th inning. Offensively, Philadelphia was a juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings. Lincecum(1-3) got the win allowing 7 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings. Justin Verlander(0-2) was tagged with the loss. He gave up 6 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings and saw his ERA jump from 5.71 to 8.05. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Lincecum - except Sunshine State. Fredi Gonzalez lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!' Adam Laroche then lined a one-base hit giving Sea Isle the victory as 11,447 happy fans celebrated wildly. Sea Isle out-hit Wall St for the game, 14 hits to 10. Cherry Hill took the lead for good in the 2nd inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. The big moment was provided by Mark Derosa who silenced the crowd when he smashed a two-run homer (his 2nd of the season). Cherry Hill finished with 14 hits in the victory. Miner(1-0) allowed 3 runs on the game. Jon Garland(0-2) was the loser. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings. Cherry Hill now has a record of a division leading 11-7. With this loss, Toronto has a 4-6 record of late, 7-11, worst in the division overall. Carlos Delgado rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Ricky Nolasco went 9 strong innings as the Atlanta Prohibitioners defeated the Washington Scrub NL 1 by a score of 6 to 1 at Nationals Park. Delgado had a big day against Washington. He ripped a solo home run in the 2nd inning and bombed a two-run dinger (his 6th of the season) in the 5th inning. Atlanta rapped out 10 hits for the night. The win was credited to Nolasco(2-0) who went the whole way allowing 1 run. Braden Looper(1-5) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
