Oscar Salazar cracked a homer and had 3 RBI at Turner Field as the Washington
Scrub NL 1 beat the Atlanta Prohibitioners 11 to 3.
 
Washington came up with the deciding runs in the 8th inning when they scored 4
runs on 5 hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Salazar who helped
quiet the crowd when he bombed a two-run dinger (his 1st of the season).
Washington ended up with 12 hits for the game while Atlanta had 6.
 
Aquilino Lopez(1-1) got the win allowing 1 run in 3 and 1/3 innings. Ricky
Nolasco(2-1) was the loser.  Despite losing, he struckout 10 Washington
batters in 7 and 1/3 innings.  
 
Washington now has a record of 7-17. Atlanta has a record of 17-7 after the
loss.

Ryan Sweeney went deep and had 3 RBI and Jesse Litsch carried a no-hitter into
the 6th inning as the Pinehurst PinOaks beat the slumping Oakland Scrub AL 2
by a score of 7 to 1.
 
Litsch(1-1) was tremendous on the mound for Pinehurst.  He didn't give up
much, just 3 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings improving his ERA from 6.48 to
4.56.  The right-handed Litsch lost his no-hit bid when Ben Francisco singled
with nobody out in the 6th inning.  Pinehurst banged out 10 hits on the
afternoon.  
 
Greg Maddux(3-3) was given the loss.  He served up 4 gopher balls in 4 and 2/3
innings.

The Boston Stranglers defeated the Minnesota SnowBirds by a score of 5 to 1 at
Fenway Park.
 
Boston started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first scoring a single run.  Boston had only 4 hits for the night.  
 
Jon Lester(3-2) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Chien-Ming
Wang(1-1) took the loss.  He surrendered 4 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3
innings.

Miguel Cabrera cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at US Cellular Field as the
Cherry Hill Maulers won a thriller over the ice-cold Toronto Scrub AL 1 in, 9
to 8.
 
The game was won by Cherry Hill with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Magglio Ordonez doubled.  Wil Ledezma then was wild with a pitch.  Cabrera
then drew a walk.  Aubrey Huff got his chance to keep things going, but he
went down on strikes.  Ledezma then uncorked a wild pitch making Cherry Hill
victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd.  Cherry Hill totaled 10
hits on the night.  
 
The victory went to Francisco Rodriguez(3-1) who went 1 inning, allowing 3
runs. Manny Parra(1-2) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He allowed Cherry
Hill 6 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings of work.  
 
With this win, Cherry Hill has a division leading 16-8 record.  They have been
7-3 lately.  With the loss, the Toronto ballclub's record is 7-17, worst in
the division.

Peavy(2-0) pitched a solid game.  He allowed 6 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings
lowering his ERA to 3.47.  Sea Isle had a total of 11 hits for the game.
 
Chris Young(1-1) was hit with the loss.  He was unable to control the Sea Isle
offense and allowed 10 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.

One run was the difference at Comerica Park as the Detroit 40's defeated the
Yardley Oaks 4 to 3.
 
Aaron Cook(2-1) delivered a fine performance for Detroit.  He surrendered 5
hits and 1 walk in 6 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 2 'long-bombs'.  Detroit
and Yardley each finished the afternoon with 6 hits.  
 
Jonathan Papelbon gained credit for his 5th save.  Justin Duchscherer(1-1)
took the loss.  He allowed 4 runs and 6 hits in 7 and 2/3 innings.
