Prince Fielder had 2 base hits as the Sunshine State Stalkers defeated the
struggling Washington Scrub NL 1 by a score of 6 to 2 at Nationals
Park.

Sunshine State scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning. The early run support proved
sufficient for Justin Verlander(1-2) and Sunshine State. That was all the
run support Verlander required. Sunshine State had 10 hits overall, while
Washington had 6.

Verlander was helped out by John Grabow who recorded his 2nd save. Braden
Looper(1-7) was charged with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits
and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
