Manny Ramirez cracked 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI and Adam Wainwright allowed
Dave Trembley to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Pinehurst
PinOaks defeated the Boston Stranglers by the score of 11 to 4 at Fenway
Park.

Ramirez provided much of the offense. He hit a bases-empty home run in the
1st inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 3rd inning and
cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his 12th of the season) in the 8th
inning. Pinehurst banged out 11 hits on the night.

Wainwright(3-0) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. Shaun Marcum(2-2)
took the loss. Pinehurst scored big getting 4 runs off him in 2 and 2/3
innings.

'Ramirez led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,'
Wainwright said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my
team.'

Chris Iannetta touched them all and had 3 RBI and Jeff Bennett dominated
striking out 10 Atlanta batters at Dolphins Stadium where the Sunshine State
Stalkers beat the Atlanta Prohibitioners 11 to 2.

Iannetta had a good evening at the plate. He blasted a solo shot (his 3rd of
the season) in the 2nd inning, stroked a base-hit knocking in a run in the
6th inning and doubled resulting in a run in the 8th inning. Sunshine State
banged out 14 hits on the night.

The win went to Bennett(3-2) who allowed 2 runs in the game. Tim Hudson(3-2)
ended up with the loss. He was unable to control the Sunshine State offense
and allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.

Fredi Gonzalez was asked about the performance of Bennett, 'He had his good
stuff out there tonight. The fans really get into it when the strikeouts
start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'

tripled. Mike Jacobs came next and he lined a one-base hit. Jose Guillen
got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Josh Willingham came up

Ryan Doumit lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI and Jair Jurrjens
was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at
Nationals Park as the Philadelphia Phranks beat the slumping Washington Scrub
NL 1 by the count of 10 to 1.

Philadelphia jumped on top of Washington in the 3rd inning scoring a single
run. Stephen Drew smacked a single. Aaron Laffey then let a pitch get away
from him. After an out was recorded, Shane Victorino came to the plate and
reached on an error. David Wright came up and he grounded into a double
play. Philadelphia rapped out 12 hits for the night.

The win went to Jurrjens(4-0) who allowed 1 run in the game. The loss was
charged to Laffey(0-1). He served up 3 homeruns in his 4 innings.
