Fernando Tatis had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the Minnesota SnowBirds smashed the
overmatched Oakland Scrub AL 2, 14 to 2.

Tatis enjoyed a great evening at the plate. He lined a one-base hit in the
2nd inning, lofted a three-run bomb (his 2nd of the season) in the 5th
inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 6th inning and stroked a base-hit
which was good for two runs in the 8th inning. The Minnesota offense
man-handled the Oakland pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings.

The victory went to Jeremy Guthrie(4-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 1 run.
Robinson Tejeda recorded his 2nd save. Javier Vazquez(1-8) was given the
loss. He was unable to control the Minnesota offense and allowed 10 hits and
7 walks in 6 innings.

'The ball was jumping off my bat' Tatis said. 'I didn't do anything
differently, it's the same way I always approach the game.'

It was a great finish at Rogers Centre as the Toronto Scrub AL 1 pulled off a
dramatic comeback beating the Yardley Oaks by the count of 5 to 4.

Toronto came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th
inning scoring 2 runs. After two were out Kevin Millar began the Toronto
spurt when he drew a walk. Taylor Teagarden came next and he smashed a
two-run homer (his 6th of the season) giving Toronto the victory as 29,547
happy fans celebrated wildly. The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel
until the 6th inning.

The victory was credited to Wil Ledezma(2-2) who went 3 innings, allowing 4
runs. Joe Nathan(0-3) was charged with the loss in relief.

'Now there is a lesson in perseverance for you,' Jeff Baker noted. 'It was
looking pretty dim there for a while, but we just kept plugging away and it
really paid off in spades! And it was great to see the crowd go crazy there
at the end!'
