C.C. Sabathia racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts as the Cherry
Hill Maulers defeated the Oakland Scrub AL 2 3 to 1 at McAfee
Coliseum.

Sabathia(2-3) was tremendous on the mound for Cherry Hill. He allowed just 3
hits and 2 walks in 8 innings. The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th
inning.

Sabathia got help from Francisco Rodriguez who earned his 8th save. Brian
Wilson(0-3) ended up with the loss in relief. Sabathia was humble when
questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my
pitches this afternoon. But, I had great support behind me and I just threw
what was called. That was an extremely well called game!'

Nate McLouth slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at Wrigley Field where the Wall
St Millionaires beat the Philadelphia Phranks 4 to 0.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning Wall St scored 3 runs with the help of 4 hits.
Ryan Zimmerman led off and he laced a single. McLouth came next and he
smashed a two-run homer (his 10th of the season). After an out was recorded,
Reed Johnson stepped in and he doubled. Akinori Iwamura followed and he
reached on an error. Jimmy Rollins came to the plate and banged out a
single. Matt Kemp joined his teammates in the uprising and grounded into a
double play. The early run support proved sufficient for James Shields(2-1)
and Wall St. That was all the run support Shields required. For the game
Wall St out-hit Philadelphia 13 to 3.

Jamie Moyer(2-2) ended up with the loss. He surrendered 13 hits and no walks
in 7 and 2/3 innings.
