He blasted a two-run home run in the 4th inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 6th inning and cracked a two-run shot (his 3rd of the season) in the 8th inning. Cherry Hill finished with 10 hits in the victory. Halladay(4-0) lasted until the end allowing 1 run for the win. Ben Sheets(1-2) was tagged with the loss. Boston came out the victor in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Delmon Young lined a base-hit. One out later, Davis came up and he blasted a solo shot (his 2nd of the season) giving Boston the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Overall Boston out-hit Binghamton 14 to 8. Washington had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using 3 hits. Edgar Renteria led off the inning for Washington when he stroked a single. Two outs later Stairs stepped up to the plate and he cracked a solo homerun (his 1st of the season). Kevin Kouzmanoff then was hit by a pitch. Taveras took off for second and slid in with a stolen base. Doug Mientkiewicz came to the plate and doubled. Both teams finished the game with 9 hits. Francisco Cordero(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Doug Davis(1-1) was given the loss. 'What a win!', Cordero said. 'These are the kind of games that stand out in your mind at the end of a season.'
