Ian Kinsler had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Boston Stranglers beat the Wall St
Millionaires by a score of 6 to 3.
 
Kinsler enjoyed a fine evening at the plate.  He doubled in the 1st inning,
smashed a two-run homer (his 2nd of the season) in the 3rd inning, ripped a
base-knock in the 5th inning and stroked a single bringing in two baserunners
in the 7th inning.  Boston managed 10 hits in their victory.  
 
Ervin Santana(5-3) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Joakim
Soria recorded his 11th save.  Todd Wellemeyer(3-2) was the loser.  He was
knocked around, surrendering 4 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.  
 
It was another victory for Boston at Fenway Park.  Now their winning streak
stands at 6 games.

Comerica Park.
 
Nady enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He hit a 'grand salami' to the
delight of his teammates (his 12th of the season) in the 4th inning, slapped
a one-base hit in the 6th inning and delivered a base-hit in the 8th inning.
Jonathan Papelbon earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 8th save.  
 
The winning pitcher was Brian Tallet(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings.
Steven Shell(1-1) took the loss in relief.  He allowed 5 hits and 2 walks in
1 and 2/3 innings.

Brandon Webb was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Atlanta Prohibitioners topped the Minnesota SnowBirds by
a score of 7 to 2 at Turner Field.
 
Atlanta jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 2nd inning when they
tallied 2 runs on 1 hit.  The critical plate appearance was by Casey Blake
who came through for the home fans when he bombed a two-run dinger (his 9th
of the season).  Atlanta and Minnesota each finished the night with 8 hits.
 
The win went to Webb(3-4) who allowed 2 runs in the game. Matt Garza(4-5) was
tagged with the loss.  He gave up 6 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings of work.

The Sea Isle Seagulls defeated the Pinehurst PinOaks by a score of 5 to 2 at
Camden Yards.
 
Pinehurst was unable to recover after Sea Isle went ahead in the top of the
6th inning scoring a single run utilizing 2 base hits.  Kerry Wood was
perfect in relief and got the save, his 10th.  
 
The win went to Paul Maholm(6-1) who allowed 2 runs in 8 innings. Mark
Buehrle(2-5) ended up with the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 10 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.

Roy Halladay went the distance as the seemingly unstoppable Cherry Hill
Maulers topped the Philadelphia Phranks by a score of 7 to 2 at Citizen's
Bank Park.
 
Halladay(7-1) pitched well for Cherry Hill in their victory.  He went 9
innings surrendering 8 hits and no walks and surrendered 2 homeruns.  Cherry
Hill had 14 hits for the night.  
 
Jamie Moyer(3-4) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around by Cherry Hill,
allowing 11 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings.  Cherry Hill added another win to
their now very impressive winning streak.

At Shea Stadium the Yardley Oaks outscored the Binghamton Brawlers in 10
innings 7 to 4.
 
Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. Yardley won the game
in the 10th inning.  The big moment was provided by Mark Teixeira who
deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he clubbed a three-run home
run (his 7th of the season).  Yardley managed 8 hits in their victory.
 
Scot Shields(2-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Ryan
Madson(2-3) suffered the loss in relief.  He pitched 3 and 2/3 innings
allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.
 
Yardley now has a record of 26-17.  With the loss, the Binghamton ballclub's
record is 17-26.

In a close game it was the Oakland Scrub AL 2 4, the Toronto Scrub AL 1 2 at
McAfee Coliseum.
 
Greg Smith(3-5) looked very much in control throughout the day.  He
surrendered only 4 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.  Oakland had 13
hits for the game and Toronto had 5.  
 
Smith got help from George Sherrill who earned his 6th save.  Andy
Pettitte(3-3) was given the loss.  He struck out 8 batters in 5 and 2/3
innings despite losing the game.

Nick Swisher left the yard and had 2 RBI at Nationals Park where the Colorado
Scrub NL 2 beat the Washington Scrub NL 1 2 to 0.
 
Washington never recovered after Colorado took the lead in the top of the 5th
inning scoring one runner.  Colorado ended up with 10 hits for the game while
Washington had 7.  
 
Joe Blanton(4-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 7 and 1/3 innings.
Blanton got help from Manny Corpas who earned his 1st save.  Randy Wolf(2-6)
ended up with the loss.  
 
With this win, Colorado has a 13-34 record.  They have been 3-7 lately.
Washington continued their losing ways and their record is now 17-27, worst
in the division.  They are 2-8 in their last ten games.
