One run was the difference at Fenway Park as the streaking Boston Stranglers
defeated the Wall St Millionaires 5 to 4.

Joe Saunders(6-2) was solid if not spectacular. He went 7 innings
surrendering 12 hits and 2 walks. Wall St threatened in the 9th but their
rally came up short.

Dan Wheeler was credited with his 1st save. James Shields(3-3) took the loss.
He was unable to control the Boston offense and allowed 10 hits and 3 walks
in 5 and 1/3 innings.

'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Saunders said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'

WEB GEMS- Top 1st: Jose Reyes robbed Denard Span of a base hit.

What a day for the Binghamton Brawlers! They shellacked the Yardley Oaks
pitching for 10 runs while Jorge Campillo(2-6), with relief help from Ryan
Madson, surrendered 2 runs to Yardley.

Binghamton started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first with 3 runs on 3 hits. Jose Reyes led off and keyed the rally when
he tripled. Orlando Hudson stepped up to the plate and he slapped a
base-hit. Carlos Lee then blasted a two-run home run (his 8th of the
season). After an out was recorded, Jayson Werth came to the plate and drew
a walk. Randy Winn stepped into the box and grounded into a double play.
That early run support was enough for Campillo and Binghamton. Binghamton
totaled 8 hits on the afternoon.

Campillo got help from Madson who was credited with his 4th save. Justin
Duchscherer(2-2) suffered the loss. The Binghamton ballclub's record now
stands at 18-27. With the loss Yardley now has a record of 27-18.
