Two outs later Xavier Nady stepped up to the plate and he doubled. Justin Morneau followed and he laced a base-knock. Bengie Molina stepped into the box and banged out a single. Detroit finished with 10 hits in the victory. The victory went to Damaso Marte(3-2) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs. Chad Durbin(0-2) was hit with the loss in relief. Lincecum(8-1) pitched a solid game. He went 7 and 1/3 innings surrendering 8 hits and 5 walks. Brad Lidge earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 9th save. Shaun Marcum(4-6) absorbed the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 4 and 2/3 innings. 'He was really impressive tonight,' Marcum said of his counterpart. 'Our guys were just swinging at air.'
