Ryan Ludwick added four ribbies to his seasonal total with one swing of the
bat as the Pinehurst PinOaks were badly beaten by the Sunshine State
Stalkers, 18 to 1.

Ludwick enjoyed a big day at the plate. He stroked a one-base hit scoring two
baserunners in the 1st inning, doubled in the 4th inning and launched a Grand
Slam homerun (his 13th of the season) in the 8th inning. Sunshine State
provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 4
hits and the 8th inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 4 hits. The Sunshine
State offense man-handled the Pinehurst pitching staff as they scored in 8 of
the 9 innings.

Carlos Zambrano(4-3) was the winner allowing 1 run in 6 and 2/3 innings. Johan
Santana(2-6) was hit with the loss.

WEB GEMS- Top 9th: Matt Holliday robbed Carlos Quentin of an extra base hit.

Casey Blake slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Atlanta Prohibitioners
outscored the Yardley Oaks 8 to 6.

Blake enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He rifled a three-run blast in the 4th
inning and ripped a solo home run (his 11th of the season) in the 8th inning.
Yardley was not lacking for run support as they scored in 5 separate
innings, yet victory eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is
also needed to win ballgames.

The victory was credited to Ricky Nolasco(7-3) who went 7 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 5 runs. Brian Fuentes recorded his 14th save. The loss was charged
to Kevin Slowey(3-2). He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 3 and
2/3 innings.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Nolasco, 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'
