The seemingly unstoppable Minnesota SnowBirds scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning
and toppled the Colorado Scrub NL 2 by a 8 to 4 score at Coors Field.

Nick Markakis provided the offensive punch. He banged out a single in the 2nd
inning, doubled plating two runs in the 3rd inning and doubled bringing in
two baserunners in the 6th inning. Both teams ended up with 12 hits on the
afternoon.

Jered Weaver*(5-3) allowed 3 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Oliver Perez(1-5) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 6 hits
and 3 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.

With the win, Minnesota continued their winning ways; their streak now stands
at 7 games and counting. Ron Gardenhire was in a talkative mood after the
ballgame. 'Fellows, I don't know what to tell you. our guys are just playing
lights out lately. Everything and everybody is just really hitting on all
cylinders. I know it can't last forever - but that isn't going to stop us
from trying!'
