Top 11th: John Buck blocked the plate, saving a run! One run was the difference at Coors Field as the seemingly unstoppable Minnesota SnowBirds defeated the Colorado Scrub NL 2 in 11 innings 8 to 7. Both teams were tied at 7 runs apiece after nine innings. Minnesota won it in the 11th inning. After two were out B.J. Upton doubled. Orlando Cabrera was next and he doubled. Joe Mauer then was walked intentionally. Placido Polanco stepped in and he banged out a single to load the bases. Colorado proved to be no trouble in the bottom of the 11th. Mariano Rivera(2-0) went 2 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Rivera was helped out by Joey Devine who recorded his 2nd save. Manny Corpas(1-5) was charged with the loss in relief. He was touched for 6 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
