The Sunshine State Stalkers pitching coach might be looking for a new job
soon.  His team allowed 12 runs while Roy Halladay(9-2), with relief help
from Grant Balfour, surrendered 3 runs to Sunshine State in a
laugher.
 
Cherry Hill started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first scoring 3 runners on 5 hits.  For the game Cherry Hill out-hit
Sunshine State 15 to 9.  
 
Jeff Bennett(3-4) ended up with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10
hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.

Albert Pujols had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Wall St Millionaires topped the
Pinehurst PinOaks by a score of 7 to 5 at Camden Yards.
 
Pujols enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He singled in the 4th inning,
smashed a two-run homer (his 12th of the season) in the 5th inning, lined a
one-base hit in the 8th inning and doubled in the 9th inning.  Pinehurst was
out-hit by Wall St, 15 hits to 6.  
 
The win was credited to Todd Wellemeyer(5-3) who went 6 and 1/3 innings
allowing 3 runs. J.C. Romero recorded the save, his 3rd.  Mark Buehrle(2-7)
absorbed the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 12 hits
and 2 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.  
 
The winning ways continue for Wall St. They now have a record of 8-2 in recent
days.  With this loss, Pinehurst has a 3-7 record of late, 21-34 overall.

In a good matchup it was the Yardley Oaks 4, the Atlanta Prohibitioners 2 at
Yankee Stadium.
 
Justin Duchscherer(4-2) pitched a fine game.  He allowed 7 hits and no walks
in 6 innings.  Yardley totaled 9 hits on the night.  Joe Nathan was credited

Dan Haren took a no-hitter into the 7th inning at PNC Park where the Detroit
40's beat the Sea Isle Seagulls 7 to 4.
 
Haren(6-5) had a solid outing for Detroit.  He went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing
3 hits and no walks.  The right-handed Haren lost his chance for a no-hitter
when Johnny Damon singled with nobody out in the 7th inning.  Sea Isle made
it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
 
Jonathan Papelbon got the save, his 14th.  The losing pitcher was John
Lannan(5-5).  He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings giving up 8 hits and 1 walk.

Ryan Braun slammed a homerun at Metrodome as the Philadelphia Phranks staged a
comeback win over the Minnesota SnowBirds by the count of 4 to 3.
 
Jamie Moyer(4-6) gave a fine effort for Philadelphia.  He surrendered 9 hits
and 3 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings improving his ERA from 4.19 to 3.98.  The
game was a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.  
 
Brad Lidge gained credit for his 12th save.  Matt Garza(5-7) absorbed the
loss.  'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Moyer, 'I got
burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that
matters.'

Bobby Abreu had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Boston Stranglers defeated the
Colorado Scrub NL 2 by a score of 8 to 5 at Fenway Park.
 
A hugely decisive outburst by Boston in the bottom of the 8th inning quieted
any Colorado hopes for a victory as they erupted for 7 runs on 6 hits.  The
critical plate appearance was by Mike Aviles who came through for the home
fans when he laced a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners.  Boston rapped
out 11 hits for the night.  
 
Octavio Dotel(1-3) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 3 innings. Manny
Corpas(1-6) ended up with the loss in relief.  He surrendered 2 hits and 1
walk in 1/3 of an inning.

Tim Redding went the distance as the Washington Scrub NL 1 beat the Binghamton
Brawlers by a score of 6 to 2.
 
Washington had 4 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 5th inning with the
help of 3 hits.  They ended up being the winning runs.  Washington finished
with 9 hits in the victory.  
 
Redding(2-5) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Jorge
Campillo(3-7) was tagged with the loss.  He was unable to control the
Washington offense and allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings.
