Designated hitter Miguel Cabrera left the yard and had 2 RBI as the Cherry
Hill Maulers defeated the Sunshine State Stalkers by the score of 8 to 5 at
Dolphins Stadium.
 
Brian Bruney(1-0) was the winning pitcher with a solid relief performance.  He
didn't allow much, just 1 hit and no walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.  The game
was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5 times.  
 
Francisco Rodriguez recorded his 18th save.  Carlos Marmol(2-2) was charged
with the loss in relief.  He allowed Cherry Hill 3 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings
of work.

Right fielder Carlos Beltran ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Camden Yards
as the Wall St Millionaires pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the
Pinehurst PinOaks by the count of 7 to 6.
 
Wall St erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs
using 3 hits.  Beltran got things rolling when he smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly' (his 11th of the season).  Ryan Zimmerman stepped into the batter's
box and he stroked a one-base hit.  Nate McLouth was next to the plate, but
was promptly struck out.  Russell Martin dug into the batters box next, but
he struck out.  Reed Johnson stepped into the box and smashed a two-run homer
(his 2nd of the season).  Wall St banged out 8 hits on the night.  
 
The victory went to Juan Cruz(4-0) who went 3 innings, allowing no runs. Johan
Santana(3-7) was given the loss.  He was touched for 4 homeruns in his 8
innings of work.

the Yardley Oaks by a score of 8 to 2.
 
Ricky Nolasco(8-4) pitched a solid game.  He allowed 4 hits and 3 walks in 6
innings.  Both teams ended up with 10 hits on the night.  
 
Felix Hernandez(2-6) ended up with the loss.  He was unable to control the

One run was the difference at PNC Park as the Sea Isle Seagulls defeated the
Detroit 40's 3 to 2.
 
Sea Isle scored the deciding run in the bottom of the 8th inning.  Mike
Cameron drew a walk.  After an out was recorded, Johnny Damon came to the
plate and delivered a base-hit.  A.J. Burnett then threw a wild pitch.  Paul
Maholm(8-1) got help from Kerry Wood who pitched a perfect ninth and was

Left fielder Ryan Braun had 2 base hits as the Philadelphia Phranks defeated
the Minnesota SnowBirds 2 to 0 at Metrodome.
 
Philadelphia claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring a single run
using 3 hits.  The early run support proved sufficient for Jair Jurrjens(2-4)
and Philadelphia.  That was all the run support Jurrjens required.
Philadelphia ended up with 7 hits for the game while Minnesota had 4.  
 
Brad Lidge recorded his 13th save.  Jeremy Guthrie(6-5) ended up with the

Delmon Young lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI at Fenway Park as
the Boston Stranglers beat the Colorado Scrub NL 2 6 to 4.
 
In the bottom of the 7th inning Boston scored 2 runs.  Scott Rolen led off and
started the rally when he drew a walk.  Ian Kinsler stepped up next and he
cracked a two-run shot (his 5th of the season).  After another out, Geovany
Soto dug into the batters box next, but he struck out.  Adrian Gonzalez came
up and he reached on an error.  Alex Rios stepped into the box and was walked
intentionally.  Boston had a total of 9 hits for the game.  
 
The winning pitcher was Justin Masterson(4-1) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Joakim Soria got the save, his 15th.  The losing pitcher was Zach Duke(3-8).
He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 innings.  
 
With this win, Boston has a 33-29 record.  They have been 5-5 lately.
Colorado continued their losing ways and their record is now 15-45, worst in
the division.  They are 1-9 in their last ten games.

Washington Scrub NL 1 broke the deadlock in their last at bats, pulling out a
5 to 3 win over the Binghamton Brawlers and sending their hometown fans home
smiling.
 
Washington won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2
runs.  Jeff Mathis opened up the inning nicely when he was hit by a pitch.
After an out was recorded, Corey Hart stepped in and he lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run (his 6th of the season) resulting in an exciting
win for Washington and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.
Washington had only 5 hits for the game.  
 
The victory was credited to Seth McClung(2-3) who went 3 innings, allowing no
runs. Scott Downs(3-3) was the losing pitcher in relief.
