The Minnesota SnowBirds won by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3. Philadelphia was unable to recover after Minnesota went ahead in the 7th inning plating an isolated run. The Philadelphia offense proved no trouble in the 9th. Bobby Jenks(1-0) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Mariano Rivera recorded the save, his 16th. Chad Billingsley(7-4) was the loser. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 4 hits and 8 walks.
