Washington won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Scott Hairston doubled. Jonathan Broxton then let loose a wild pitch. Yorvit Torrealba got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Tim Hudson was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game and Andre Ethier hit 2 doubles at Turner Field as the Atlanta Prohibitioners won in their last at-bat beating the Binghamton Brawlers by the count of 4 to 3. Atlanta scored the deciding run in the 9th inning. Carlos Delgado was hit by a pitch. After an out was recorded, James Loney stepped in and he lined a one-base hit. Casey Blake then drew a walk to load the bases. Mike Fontenot stepped in and he hit a single resulting in an exciting win for Atlanta and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. Andy Sonnanstine(5-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 3 runs. Jon Rauch gained credit for his 8th save. Aaron Cook(6-4) was given the loss. 'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Sonnanstine said.
