WEB GEMS- Top 8th: Mark Grudzielanek robbed Grady Sizemore of a base hit.

Mark Grudzielanek jacked one out of the ballyard and Ted Lilly completed the
game without help from the bullpen at Yankee Stadium as the Yardley Oaks came
back dramatically to top the Detroit 40's by the score of 6 to 5.

Yardley came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th
inning scoring 3 runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Mike Napoli
keyed the rally when he drew a walk. Denard Span came next and he slapped a
single. Joe Inglett struck out, unable to help the rally. Alex Rodriguez
stepped in and he lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 13th of the season)
giving Yardley the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Yardley
rapped out 8 hits for the night.

Lilly(6-5) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. Jonathan
Papelbon(1-2) was given the loss in relief. He surrendered 3 runs and 2 hits
in 2/3 of an inning.

'We just wouldn't give up,' Grudzielanek said. 'Much of the credit goes to our
fans - they were with us the whole way.'
