WEB GEMS- Top 4th: Garret Anderson robbed Joe Mauer of an extra base hit.

At Fenway Park, the Boston fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Shaun
Marcum(7-7) finally bested his Minnesota opposite, Matt Garza(6-8), by the
score of 3 to 0.

Boston jumped on top of Minnesota in the 2nd inning scoring one runner on 2
hits. After two were out Garret Anderson lined a base-hit. Ramon Vazquez
came to the plate and drew a walk. Jason Bartlett then delivered a one-base
hit. Bartlett took second on the throw. That early scoring held up. After
the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.

Marcum was helped out by Joakim Soria who recorded his 16th save. Garza
suffered the loss. He pitched 8 innings allowing 9 hits and 2 walks.

solid innings as the Wall St Millionaires crushed the lifeless Colorado Scrub
NL 2 14 to 1.

Beltran enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the
latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He smashed a solo-shot
out of the park in the 2nd inning, stroked a one-base hit in the 4th inning
