Ted Lilly pitched 9 strong innings and Alex Rodriguez homered and had 4 RBI as
the Yardley Oaks defeated the Pinehurst PinOaks 9 to 1 at Yankee

Rodriguez helped send the fans home happy. He delivered a one-base hit in the
1st inning, doubled plating two runs in the 6th inning and cleared the fences
for a two-run home run (his 14th of the season) in the 8th inning. Yardley
managed 12 hits in their victory.

The win was credited to Lilly(7-5) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Jesse Litsch(3-8) took the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 7 and
1/3 innings of work.

'I thought it was my best performance in a long time,' said Lilly. 'I had good
