At Rogers Centre the Toronto Scrub AL 1 outscored the Colorado Scrub NL 2 4 to
1.
 
Toronto jumped on top to stay in the 5th inning scoring one runner utilizing 2
base hits.  Andy Sonnanstine(6-7) got help from Jon Rauch who pitched great
and earned his 9th save.  
 
Zach Duke(3-12) was given the loss.  He allowed 3 homeruns in 5 and 2/3
innings of work.

Left fielder Manny Ramirez blasted a homerun at Yankee Stadium as the
Pinehurst PinOaks beat the Yardley Oaks 9 to 7.
 
Adam Wainwright(3-5) was credited with the win in a less than impressive
performance.  He gave up 10 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings and
surrendered 3 homeruns.  Yardley threatened in the 9th but their rally came
up short.  
 
Roy Corcoran earned the save, his 5th.  The loss was charged to Kevin
Slowey(4-4).  He surrendered 4 runs and 5 hits in 1/3 of an inning.  
 
'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Joe Girardi said. 'We did
what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'

Scott Baker(7-6) and Braden Looper(4-6) locked horns in a pitcher's duel with
Baker and the Sunshine State Stalkers coming out on top of the Washington
Scrub NL 1 4 to 0.
 
Sunshine State had 3 runs cross the plate in the 4th inning with the help of 4
hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Ryan Theriot who quieted the
home crowd when he doubled scoring two baserunners.  Sunshine State had 9
hits for the game and Washington had 6.  
 
The Sunshine State ballclub's record now stands at 36-36.  Still in a bad
slump, with this loss, Washington is 2-8 lately and 27-45, worst in the
division on the year.

The Atlanta Prohibitioners cruised to a 11 to 6 victory over the Oakland Scrub
AL 2 at Turner Field.
 
Casey Blake had a good day at the plate.  He hit a 'grand salami' to the
delight of his teammates (his 20th of the season) in the 1st inning and
banged out a single in the 2nd inning.  Atlanta had a total of 14 hits for
the game.  
 
The win went to Randy Johnson(6-4) who allowed 5 runs in 6 innings. Chad
Gaudin recorded his 1st save.  Doug Davis(4-5) ended up with the loss.  He
allowed 6 runs and 4 hits without retiring a batter.
