Fernando Tatis went yard and had 2 RBI as the Minnesota SnowBirds beat the
Boston Stranglers by a score of 5 to 2.

Minnesota came up with 3 runs in the 3rd inning when they had 4 base hits.
After an out was recorded, B.J. Upton got things rolling when he banged out a
single. After another out, Jerry Hairston Jr stepped in and he laced a
one-base hit. David Dejesus then stroked a base-hit. Nick Markakis was up
next and he belted a three-run homer (his 11th of the season). Carlos Pena
got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. That scoring would be all
that was needed. For the game Minnesota out-hit Boston 12 to 7.

Jeremy Guthrie(9-8) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 2 runs. Jose Arredondo earned his 4th save. Joe Saunders(6-8) was
the loser.
