The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Colorado was victorious in the 13th inning. After an out was recorded, Willie Harris keyed the rally when he laced a base-hit. Nick Swisher next to the plate and he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 26th of the season). Justin Upton was the next batter, but he struck out. John Buck got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Colorado took care of Sunshine State with no trouble in the bottom of the 13th. Rupe(4-2) went 5 innings allowing no runs for the win. Carlos Marmol(4-5) was the losing pitcher in relief. Despite the loss, he struckout 8 Colorado batters in 3 and 1/3 innings. Colorado now has a record of 29-74. Even with the loss, Sunshine State still has a nice 8-2 record in recent weeks. They are 57-44 on the season.
