Binghamton was unable to claim the lead after Sea Isle went ahead in the bottom of the 3rd inning as they scored 4 runs on 2 base hits. That was all the offense they were to need. Sea Isle totaled 10 hits on the afternoon. Peavy(6-5) allowed 2 runs on the game. Kyle Lohse(4-9) took the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings. Nolasco(12-6) was very good in the win. He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and no walks in 7 and 1/3 innings. Atlanta finished with 13 hits while Washington ended up with 6. Braden Looper(5-7) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Nolasco - except Washington. Manny Acta lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our guys off balance all game. Shin-Soo Choo was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Justin Morneau then banged out a single. For the game Detroit out-hit Cherry Hill 11 to 7. Damaso Marte(4-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Dennys Reyes(1-1) suffered the loss in relief. He gave up 2 hits and no walks in 2/3 of an inning.
