Manny Ramirez rocketed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Armando Galarraga carried
a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Cherry Hill Maulers topped the
Binghamton Brawlers by a score of 7 to 0 at US Cellular Field.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Ramirez. He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st inning, laced
a single plating a run in the 3rd inning and blasted a solo shot (his 28th of
the season) in the 7th inning. Cherry Hill had a total of 9 hits for the
game.

It was the 2nd shutout of the year for Galarraga(10-4). The right-handed
Galarraga lost his chance for a no-hitter when Yadier Molina singled with
nobody out in the 6th inning. The losing pitcher was Jorge Campillo(6-10).
He served up 3 homeruns in his 7 and 2/3 innings.

Ramirez said, 'It was just all timing. I had pretty good rhythm at the plate
tonight. You've got to take advantage of mistakes when you can. A couple
pitches were definitely up a little bit - right in my zone.'

the Washington Scrub NL 1 outscored the floundering Oakland Scrub AL 2 7 to
3.

Dennis Sarfate got the save, his 5th. Greg Smith(5-11) ended up with the
