Utley had a good evening at the plate. He stroked a one-base hit in the 1st inning, laced a base-knock bringing in a run in the 3rd inning, doubled which plated a run in the 5th inning, doubled in the 7th inning and ripped a solo home run (his 12th of the season) in the 9th inning. Sea Isle had a total of 14 hits for the game. The victory was credited to Sheets(10-5) who went the distance, allowing 3 runs. Ubaldo Jimenez(13-7) was the losing pitcher. The Toronto Scrub AL 1 topped the Minnesota SnowBirds by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3. Toronto took the lead for keeps in the 7th inning scoring a single run. Dana Eveland(4-8) got relief help from Jon Rauch who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 13th save. The loss was charged to Jose Arredondo(3-1) in relief. The Toronto ballclub's record now stands at 37-72. With the loss, the Minnesota ballclub's record is 67-44.
