Stalkers topped the reeling Minnesota SnowBirds by the slimmest of margins, 5
to 4.

Sunshine State had 4 runs cross the plate in the 2nd inning when they had 3
base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Milton Bradley who brought the
crowd to their feet when he clubbed a three-run home run (his 24th of the
season). Scott Olsen(2-1) got relief help from Kevin Gregg who was excellent
in relief and gained credit for his 16th save.

Chien-Ming Wang(2-5) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings and
surrendered 3 hits and 2 walks.

In a thriller the Philadelphia Phranks staged a dramatic comeback then held on
to win over the ice-cold Pinehurst PinOaks by a score of 5 to 4 at Camden
Yards.

Philadelphia came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th
inning when they tallied 4 runs on 3 hits. The highlight belonged to Alexei
Ramirez who deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he doubled plating
two runs. Ubaldo Jimenez(14-7) got help from Brad Lidge who pitched a
perfect ninth and was credited with his 25th save.

Roy Corcoran(1-5) suffered the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 hit and no
walks in 2/3 of an inning. Charlie Manual was all smiles after the game, 'To
pull a game out in your last at bats, is a beautiful feeling - and did you
see how quiet it got out there? You could have heard a pin drop when we took
the lead. But, hey, that's what makes baseball so great - as the great sage
Yogi Berra says, 'it's not over 'til its over.'
