Paul Maholm tossed a complete game shutout and Johnny Damon had 4 hits and 3 RBI at Nationals Park as the Sea Isle Seagulls, running on all cylinders, ripped the pitiful Washington Scrub NL 1 by a large 10 to 0 margin. Damon had a big day with his bat. He doubled in the 3rd inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 14th of the season) in the 5th inning, delivered a base-hit in the 7th inning and lined a single scoring two baserunners in the 8th inning. Sea Isle had a total of 17 hits for the game. It was the 2nd shutout of the year for Maholm(17-3). Randy Wolf(7-14) was the loser. He allowed Sea Isle 10 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings of work. With the win, Sea Isle continued their winning ways; their streak now stands at 6 games and counting.
