In a two run game the Yardley Oaks came in to the game in quite a tailspin,
but they were able to snap their 6 game slide and got by the Boston
Stranglers by the score of 6 to 4.

Rich Harden(7-2) pitched well for Yardley in their victory. He went 6 innings
surrendering 3 hits and 3 walks. Harden recorded 8 strikeouts. Yardley had
9 hits for the night.

Joe Nathan recorded the save, his 32nd. Ervin Santana(13-9) was the losing
pitcher. He gave up 7 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.

'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Joe Girardi sighed. 'That win feels like a tall,
cool drink of water after spending far too much time in the desert lately.'

In a lop-sided win the red-hot Philadelphia Phranks ripped the Colorado Scrub
NL 2 by a 7 to 1 count.

Philadelphia promptly took the lead in their half of the first with 2 runs on
2 hits. Shane Victorino started the inning off right when he reached on an
error. After another out, Ryan Braun got his turn next, but he was a
strikeout victim. Ty Wigginton then doubled. David Wright stepped in and he
lashed a single. Wright was running on the next pitch and he stole second.
That scoring would be all that was needed. Philadelphia had 12 hits for the
game and Colorado had 4.

Jamie Moyer(9-13) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Moyer
was helped out by Chad Billingsley who recorded his 1st save. Oliver
Perez(4-14) was given the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 3
walks in 5 innings.

Philadelphia extended their winning streak to 9 games. 'I'm glad to get the
win', Moyer said. 'We've got some good momentum going now.'
