Dukes was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He lined a single in the 2nd inning, delivered a solo blast (his 2nd of the season) in the 7th inning and doubled plating three runs in the 8th inning. Sunshine State kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings. Hong-Chih Kuo(8-4) got the win allowing no runs in 6 innings. Mike Pelfrey(9-12) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
