Ubaldo Jimenez pitched 7 strong innings as the seemingly unstoppable
Philadelphia Phranks outscored the dreadful Colorado Scrub NL 2 7 to
2.

Philadelphia set the tone of the game in the first inning when they tallied 2
runs on 1 hit. The critical plate appearance was by Ryan Braun who elicited
a roar from the hometown fans when he bombed a two-run dinger (his 40th of
the season). Philadelphia out-hit Colorado for the game, 12 hits to 5.

Jimenez(16-7) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 7 innings. Zach
Duke(5-23) was hit with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits and 4

Elijah Dukes blasted a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Sunshine State Stalkers
man-handled the Binghamton Brawlers - the final score was 13 to 3.

Dukes was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He lined a single in the 2nd inning,
delivered a solo blast (his 2nd of the season) in the 7th inning and doubled
plating three runs in the 8th inning. Sunshine State kept the pressure on
throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings.

Hong-Chih Kuo(8-4) got the win allowing no runs in 6 innings. Mike
Pelfrey(9-12) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits
and 3 walks in 5 innings.
