Minnesota wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring one runner. Minnesota banged out 7 hits on the afternoon. The victory was credited to Matt Garza(12-15) who went 6 and 1/3 innings, allowing 1 run. Garza got help from Rafael Perez who earned his 2nd save. Gil Meche(11-12) suffered the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up 6 hits and 7 walks.
