Sunshine State drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. Sunshine State had 12 hits for the game and Sea Isle had 6. Hiroki Kuroda(16-9) went 6 innings allowing no runs for the win. Kuroda got help from Takashi Saito who earned his 7th save. Jake Peavy(15-8) was the losing pitcher. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 11 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
