Carlos Ruiz hit 2 doubles and had 4 RBI as the Binghamton Brawlers outscored
the struggling Pinehurst PinOaks 11 to 5.

Binghamton started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first with 2 runs using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Orlando
Hudson was the sparkplug when he lashed a single. Hudson then stole second
base. Garrett Atkins then reached on an error. Derrek Lee was up next and
he would ground out. Gabe Kapler came to the plate and stroked a one-base
hit. Randy Winn added to the outburst and laced a single. Binghamton
continued their aggressive style with another stolen base. Binghamton ended
up with 12 hits for the game while Pinehurst had 7.

Carlos Villanueva(4-7) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Dustin
McGowan(2-3) suffered the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 6 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
