Rich Harden struck out 11 batters as the Wall St Millionaires defeated the
Binghamton Brawlers by a score of 8 to 1 at Wrigley Field.

Harden(1-0) was very good in the win. He allowed only 6 hits and 6 walks in 8
innings. Wall St ended up with 12 hits for the game while Binghamton had 6.

The loss was charged to John Lannan(0-1). He served up 3 gopher balls in 5
innings. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Harden - except
Binghamton. Jerry Manuel lamented, 'He just was 'on' this afternoon. He was
keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout
pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were
the visitors!'

Ross Ohlendorf was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at Fenway Park as the Boston Stranglers belted the Oakland
Scrub AL 2 by the count of 26 to 2.

Jason Bartlett made sure the Boston fans enjoyed themselves. He laced a
base-knock in the 1st inning, doubled which plated a run in the 2nd inning
and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 8th inning. Boston bats were hot
in the 2nd inning with 7 runs on 7 hits and the 8th inning when they had 10

Ohlendorf(1-0) allowed 2 runs on the game. Homer Bailey(0-1) was charged with
the loss. Ohlendorf was obviously very pleased with his performance in the
aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games where everything
worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three
innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time out!'
