Max Scherzer allowed only 3 hits resulting in a big goose egg on the
scoreboard for Binghamton as the Sea Isle Seagulls defeated the Binghamton
Brawlers by the score of 5 to 0 at PNC Park.

Scherzer(2-0) was tremendous on the mound for Sea Isle. He surrendered only 3
hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. Scherzer chalked up 17 strikeouts lowering
his ERA from 10.80 to 3.86. The pitchers took over after the 1st inning as
neither team was able to score again.

John Lannan(0-2) was the loser. When questioned about his counterpart after
the game, Lannan was lavish in his praise, 'It was obvious very early on that
we were going to be in for a long night. Scherzer brought his 'A' game with
him - he had good stuff and was able to spot it perfectly. He probably only
made one or two bad pitches the entire game!
