In a dramatic ending the Yardley Oaks staged a comeback and held on to win
over the Baltimore Scrub AL 1 by the count of 2 to 1.

Yardley had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using 2 hits.
Mark Teixeira led off and started the attack as he banged out a single.
Upton was running on the next pitch and he stole second. Alex Rodriguez then
bombed a two-run dinger. Robinson Cano followed, but he was set down on
strikes. Lance Cormier(1-0) was helped out by Joe Nathan who pitched a
perfect ninth and recorded his 5th save.

Kyle McClellan(0-1) was given the loss in relief. Joe Girardi was feeling
mighty fine as he answered questions in his office after the game, 'Now that
was one fine ending! Did you see how the crowd just sat there in silence
after the winning run scored? Here we are celebrating wildly, and the stadium
is cloaked in virtual silence. Weird. but GREAT!'
