The Binghamton Brawlers nipped the Sea Isle Seagulls 7 to 6 at PNC Park in a
hard fought contest.

Binghamton had 5 runs cross the plate in the top of the 3rd inning when they
had 5 base hits. The big moment was provided by Jayson Werth who deflated
the mood of the partisan fans when he lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run. Binghamton and Sea Isle each finished the afternoon with 10
hits.

Randy Wells(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 4
runs. Clay Condrey recorded his 1st save. The loss was charged to Cole
Hamels(2-2). He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 7 hits and 2
walks in 2 innings.

Millionaires won in dramatic fashion over the Cincinnati Scrub NL 2 by a
score of 16 to 6 at Great American Bpk.

Wall St put a big number on the board in the top of the 9th inning, which
proved too much for Cincinnati to overcome when they exploded for 11 runs on
5 hits. The highlight belonged to Ryan Zimmerman who silenced Great American
Bpk as he depressed the partisan hometown fans with a grand slam home run.
Wall St bats were very productive in the 9th inning with 11 runs on 5 hits.
Wall St banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.

Latroy Hawkins(2-0) was the winner allowing 1 run in 2 and 2/3 innings.
Fernando Rodney(0-4) was given the loss in relief. He struggled with his
control issuing 8 walks in 3 innings.

Rodney was feeling apologetic in the locker room, 'I sure let that one get
away. What a miserable feeling to let the guys down; and our fans. One
minute things are looking great, then. BOOM, it's over with! I just hope I
get a chance to redeem myself real soon!'
