46,560 fans were treated to a fine game at Rogers Centre as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Minnesota SnowBirds won by the
slimmest of margins, 6 to 5.
 
Scott Feldman(2-1) pitched a fine game.  He allowed 6 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings.  Minnesota managed 8 hits in their victory.  
 
Andrew Bailey earned the save, his 2nd.  Dallas Braden(2-1) absorbed the loss.
He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 7 hits and 5 walks.

Rod Barajas hit a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Baltimore Scrub AL 1 beat the
Detroit 40's in 11 innings by a score of 5 to 3.
 
The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings.  Baltimore won it in the 11th
inning.  Kevin Kouzmanoff opened up the inning nicely when he lined a
one-base hit.  After an out was recorded, Barajas came to the plate and
popped a two-run clout over the fence resulting in an exciting win for
Baltimore and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.  Both
teams finished the game with 10 hits.  
 
Ramon Troncoso(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 3 innings.
Darren Oliver(2-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He pitched 2 and 1/3
innings giving up 2 hits and 1 walk.

Nick Blackburn completed the game without help from the bullpen as the
Washington Scrub NL 1 defeated the Atlanta Prohibitioners 10 to 1 at
Nationals Park.
 
Jim Thome helped send the fans home happy.  He slapped a single plating a run
in the 1st inning, smacked a three-run homer in the 2nd inning and smacked a
one-base hit knocking in a run in the 7th inning.  Washington banged out 10
hits on the afternoon.  
 
Blackburn(3-3) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Chad
Billingsley(1-3) was given the loss.  He allowed 7 runs and 6 hits in 1 and
2/3 innings.

Nate McLouth cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Sunshine State Stalkers
topped the Philadelphia Phranks by a score of 10 to 7 at Land Shark
Stadium.
 
McLouth enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in
the 1st inning, laced a single in the 3rd inning and cleared the fences for a
two-run home run in the 7th inning.  Both teams ended up with 12 hits on the
afternoon.  
 
The win went to Angel Guzman(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Joakim Soria got the save, his 9th.  Mike Adams(0-1) suffered the loss in
relief.  He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 3 hits and no walks.

Carlos Zambrano had a strong outing as the Binghamton Brawlers topped the
Cincinnati Scrub NL 2 by a score of 5 to 0 at Great American Bpk.
 
Binghamton promptly took the lead in their half of the first when they tallied
3 runs on 4 hits.  That scoring would be all that was needed.  After the 3rd
inning, neither team was able to score.  
 
Zambrano(3-0) went the distance for the shutout. Doug Davis(1-4) was tagged
with the loss.  He allowed 9 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.

Mark Teixeira smashed 2 homeruns at US Cellular Field as the Yardley Oaks beat
the Cherry Hill Maulers by the count of 6 to 3.
 
Yardley claimed the early lead in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 2
base hits.  Yardley had 10 hits overall, while Cherry Hill had 7.  
 
Phil Hughes(3-1) got the win allowing 2 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Hughes got
help from Joe Nathan who was credited with his 7th save.  Kevin Millwood(1-3)
was hit with the loss.  He served up 4 gopher balls in 7 and 1/3 innings.

Tony Sipp came through with a solid 3 innings as the Boston Stranglers
defeated the slumping Oakland Scrub AL 2 by a score of 4 to 2 at McAfee
Coliseum.
 
Boston had 2 runs cross the plate in the 4th inning.  The key at-bat was by
Jason Kubel who silenced McAfee Coliseum as he bombed a two-run dinger.
Boston finished with 7 hits in the victory.  
 
Matt Garza(2-1) went 5 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. David Aardsma
gained credit for his 6th save.  Jeremy Sowers(0-4) took the loss.
