Michael Young slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Jered Weaver* pitched a
complete game as the Detroit 40's topped the Baltimore Scrub AL 1 by a score
of 7 to 1 at Comerica Park.

It seemed that Baltimore pitching was serving up softballs for Young to hit.
He hit a bases-empty home run in the 1st inning, bombed a two-run dinger in
the 5th inning and tripled plating a run in the 7th inning. Detroit managed
12 hits in their victory.

Weaver*(3-0), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Justin
Masterson(1-1) ended up with the loss. He was unable to control the Detroit
offense and allowed 11 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.

'I just got in the box, looked for a pitch and swung,' Young said. 'That's
it'
