Tim Lincecum carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning at Citizen's Bank Park
where the Philadelphia Phranks beat the Atlanta Prohibitioners by the score
of 5 to 3.

Lincecum(3-1) was simply too much for the Atlanta batters. He was stingy on
the mound, allowing just 3 hits and no walks in 8 innings. Lincecum
struckout 11 Atlanta batters. The right-handed Lincecum lost his chance for
a no-hitter when Mark Reynolds singled with nobody out in the 6th inning.
Atlanta threatened in the 9th but Philadelphia was able to put down the
rally.

Lincecum got relief help from Trevor Hoffman who gained credit for his 3rd
save. Javier Vazquez(2-3) was tagged with the loss. He surrendered 7 hits
and 4 walks in 8 innings.

When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Lincecum offered, 'The
fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout
totals up there in the stands. Fortunately, I kept them busy this afternoon
- of course, it would be all for naught without the 'W'.'
