Fausto Carmona(9-5) had a solid outing for Minnesota. He surrendered 8 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings. Minnesota had just 6 hits for the night. Brian Fuentes preserved the game for Carmona, recording his his 2nd. Jake Westbrook(3-13) was the loser. He gave up 6 runs and 6 hits in 9 innings. The Toronto Argonauts eventually emerged as victors over the Yardley Oaks by the score of 3 to 1. In the 4th inning Toronto scored 2 runs. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score. Mariano Rivera recorded the save, his 17th. Wth the win Toronto now has a record of 44-34. With this loss, Yardley has a 4-6 record of late, 41-38 overall. Bud Norris(3-7) was hit with the loss. He had trouble throwing strikes and issued 11 walks in 7 innings. Boston won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning.
