Glaus provided much of the offense. He lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 1st inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 3rd inning. Oakland totaled 11 hits on the afternoon. The victory went to Chris Narveson(8-4) who went 5 and 2/3 innings, allowing 3 runs. Colby Lewis(4-11) absorbed the loss. He allowed 5 runs and 5 hits in 1/3 of an inning. The game was won by Colorado with a run in the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Jose Reyes ripped a base-knock. After another out, Young came to the plate and doubled. Mark Reynolds was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Carlos Marmol was perfect in relief and gained credit for his 19th save. The win was credited to Jhoulys Chacin(8-0) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Shawn Camp(2-4) in relief. Yardley came up with 3 runs in the 2nd inning. The big moment was provided by Cliff Pennington who silenced the stadium when he doubled with all three runners coming home. Yardley took care of Toronto with no trouble in the bottom of the 9th. David Price(6-6) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Neftali Feliz got the save, his 13th. The losing pitcher was Brandon Morrow(4-5). He gave up 5 runs and 7 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings. Bronson Arroyo(7-9) finally bested his Cincinnati opposite, Edwin Jackson(4-12), by the score of 2 to 1. Arroyo contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win. He went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 walks. Cincinnati threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. Rafael Soriano preserved the game for Arroyo, recording his his 14th. Jackson was hit with the loss. The Atlanta ballclub's record now stands at 38-43. Dusty Baker was unhappy with his club's recent performance. 'We can't keep losing games' he said. 'It gets to be embarrassing after a while.' Halladay(11-7) had a strong outing. He allowed just 7 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings. Halladay was helped out by Joakim Soria who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 22nd save. Gio Gonzalez(5-6) was the loser. Halladay was humble when questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches this afternoon. But, I had great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That was an extremely well called game!'
